Strategic Communications is a team within the Mission Advancement unit responsible for planning and implementing effective and integrated communications, publications, public relations, marketing and digital media strategies for the churchwide expression of the ELCA.
The Content team within Strategic Communications is responsible for creating a unified story-telling platform for the ELCA through its flagship magazine, other print publications, web sites and electronic digests, newsletters and e-blasts. They are also responsible for assisting the Marketing Director and Managers with the content created in their department.
Provides copy editing support for Mission Advancement and other churchwide units.
1. Edit developed manuscripts so that resources are in compliance with ELCA Publishing Standards and quality measures
2. Uploading and editing imagery and content on web pages and social media
3. Verify correctness of order codes, titles and sales information on all promotional materials
4. Performs other duties as required
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear, use hands and fingers to operate a computer and telephone.
